I’ve always believed that creativity has the power to change lives.
As a Jewellery Design and Gemology graduate, I spent years learning how to turn raw materials into something beautiful—something that tells a story. But as I honed my craft, I couldn’t ignore another story unfolding around me: the quiet resilience of women in our communities, especially those who had never been given the opportunity to shine.
I met women who were resourceful, determined, and full of potential—but held back by circumstances beyond their control. They lacked access to education, income, and sometimes even the belief that they had something valuable to offer. And that stayed with me.
That’s when the idea for Naqaash Foundation began to take shape—not just as an organization, but as a movement to equip women with the skills, tools, and support they need to build independent, meaningful lives.
I started Naqaash with a simple but powerful goal: to use skill development as a vehicle for empowerment. Our journey began with jewellery-making workshops, where women could learn a craft, express themselves creatively, and earn a dignified income. But very quickly, it became clear that empowerment doesn’t stop at skills—it grows with knowledge, confidence, and community.
So we expanded. Today, Naqaash Foundation provides training in marketing, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy, helping women not only make beautiful things—but build sustainable businesses.
Every woman we work with inspires me. Each of them carries a unique story of strength. Some are starting over after loss. Some are supporting entire families. Others are discovering their own voice for the first time.
To me, Naqaash is more than a foundation—it’s a belief: that when women are given the tools to thrive, they don’t just change their own lives—they uplift entire communities.
And that belief drives me every single day.
"Empowerment is not something we give—it's something we help unlock."
