Naqaash Foundation, in collaboration with Zaildar House, and Gandhara Art Village have always worked in taxila to promote the local artisans with the purpose of the restoration of Gandhara Art. The aim is to uplift the local artisans and underserved communities while laying out the basis for making them financially independent by promoting their skills locally and internationally . In retrospect Zaildar House in collaboration with Naqaash Foundation also hosts Orange Festival which gathers all the diplomatic community to showcase the local talent of taxila.. The gathering places greater emphasis on providing meaningful platforms for artisans—especially women—to showcase their craft, gain visibility, and access new economic opportunities. The event celebrates the region’s artistic heritage while creating an inclusive space where creativity, culture, and community come together.
At the heart of this initiative is a commitment to women’s empowerment and sustainable skill development. By supporting traditional craftsmanship such as jewelry-making, pottery, and handmade artifacts, the festival helps preserve Pakistan’s artistic legacy while enabling artisans to build independent livelihoods. Through continued training, exposure, and collaboration, Naqaash Foundation and Zaildar House strive to ensure that local creators are not only recognized, but celebrated as vital contributors to cultural and economic growth.

SUCCESS STORY
When Javeria, a bright and determined student from Home Economics College, joined Naqaash Foundation’s Empowering Women Through Jewellery Making workshop, she hoped to learn just a new skill but the training also gave her a new direction. Through hands-on training, marketing guidance, and entrepreneurship support, she discovered her confidence, creativity, and the courage to build something of her own.
Today, Javeria is successfully running her online jewellery store, turning her passion into income and inspiring other young women to follow their ambitions. Her journey reflects Naqaash Foundation’s mission: not just to teach a craft, but to empower women to shape their futures with strength and purpose.
